The Method Pilates Series

Hyper-flexible instructor Jennifer Kries has created a reputable series of Pilates-based programs that blend in elements of yoga and classical dance. Her videos are highly adaptable and can be used by those of all ages and fitness levels. Kries focuses on the basic principles of controlled breathing, movement control, concentration, and strengthening exercises that will ultimately redefine your entire body.

Each challenging workout targets the “powerhouse” muscles of the abs, back and buttocks using a combination of sitting, standing, and lying down exercises. The DVD such as Target Specifics concentrates on specific areas of the body. It combines a series of 15 minute challenging yet simple routines that work the abs, arms, hips and thighs. You can do all four routines at once or just pick and choose the ones you want.

    The Method Pilates All In One Workout on the other hand, contains an exercise program that targets the entire body and offers a complete body workout. It is a 90 minute DVD with four different workout segments: “Warm-Up Conditioning”, “Aerobic Cross Training”, “Centering Makeover”, and “Lengthening” (cool down segment). This Pilates video offers a great mix of dance-inspire aerobics, core strengthening, and relaxing yoga movements.
